Given the use case that I had to address, I was very pleased with the functional capabilities that Cognito forms provide. The price is very competitive either. With that said, for other use cases I will have to look for another solution, as Cognito forms do not support automation. Neither do the forms support the ability to integrate with 3d party systems via APIs.

I was looking for a tool that would allow me to generate a form that included complex calculations based on the user's responses to previous questions. Most form building sites on the Internet let you ask specific questions and obtain a dynamic range of results. But what I like about Cognito forms is the ability to display/hide questions based on underlying calculations being made based on answers to earlier questions in the form. It is a great tool for demonstrating and piloting user forms. I can keep the form on Cognito and receive the invested value, or I can transfer the concept to other websites and mobile apps.

I needed a basic form to register for an anniversary party. Cognito Forms did the job quite good. There are a lot of advanced features, that I did not touch. What I really liked is the fact, that you can make your forms expire. As I needed to tell the restaurat the exact amount of registairions two days in advance, I could set the form to stop accepting new registrations at that time.
