From the beginning stages of planning our trip to Lima, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos, Layna has been more than helpful. She gave many helpful suggestions once we provided her with a budget and some dates. She planned an excellent trip for us based on our requirements and wishes. I am a nervous traveller and she was reassuring, practical, and clearly well informed. Every step of the planning Layna provided us with detailed information and/or instructions on how to navigate these steps. We are also concerned about the environment and felt that Layna provided excellent advice as to how to make the least impact on these beautiful places. The companies that Detour partners with (in our case Exito and Ecoventura) were also helpful in arranging air travel and yacht travel. I would definitely say that Detour Travel really are Latin America’s travel experts. We were especially impressed with Layna’s knowledge, helpfulness and her infinite patience. She is someone who goes “above and beyond” in her job.
