Eric was a fantastic Casper tutor for the residency version of Casper. I met with him for a total of 10 sessions, and I’m telling you, each session was well worth it. I would come back exhausted from my rotations, but Eric would make sure we got the work done, and that I was prepared for the exam. Eric is incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and very flexible with his time. When I told him the date of my Casper exam, he even went out of his way to schedule a consecutive daily boot camp for me to make sure I would get the most out of my tutoring package.
Initially, I was interested in Casper tutoring because one of my top residency programs required Casper, and I just didn’t want to take any chances, given that I scored below the mean when I took Casper initially to get into med school. I didn’t understand how I had to think for Casper, but Eric’s tutoring sessions addressed exactly that. He had wonderful PowerPoint presentations that became individualized to my strengths and weaknesses as the tutoring sessions went on. So, as I said, I initially wanted to get Casper tutoring because of a top program, but something that I didn’t know but soon learned through Eric was that, by preparing for Casper, I was really preparing for the behavioral questions. As I write this review now, I have interviewed at a couple of programs, and they very much ask behavioral questions. In fact, I’m surprised by how many times in an interview I am asked a behavioral question that really mimics Casper. Actually studying and prepping with Eric prepared me for these interview questions well in advance! The overall importance of Casper is definitely up in the air, but what I can say for certain is that more importantly, these tutoring sessions really prepared me for interviews, which was something I was not anticipating and is arguably much more important than any other part of your application.
I highly recommend doing a Casper tutoring session with Eric. I had a fantastic time, and I really did learn so much about how to carry and organize my thoughts during behavioral questions. I especially appreciate the fact that Eric helped tailor his content to what worked and didn’t work for me. For instance, there was a particular answering format that just wasn’t working for me, so he worked together with me and tailored a different answering format that would best suit me. I really do think that made all the difference to me because I needed someone else to point out my weaknesses and be creative with the solutions to fix them. Overall, I had a wonderful experience being tutored in Casper by Eric. I would recommend Eric to anyone and will be recommending him to some of my younger med student friends once it comes time for them to take Casper. Oh, and by the way, I got my Casper scores back, and Eric got me to score in the top percentile, which is the 4th quartile (yes, the quartile system is backwards for this exam). Thank you so much again, Eric, for all your time and patience! Our tutoring sessions really paid off!

Med School Insider was a great resource and investment. Dhaval was very prompt and took time out of his day to go over his edits with me over the phone. He even suggested a new way of structuring my personal statement that completely transformed it. My personal statement is a piece of writing I am immensely proud of and Dhaval is a huge reason for it. Because he was so great with the personal statement edits, I immediately invested in the Application Editing package and asked specifically for Dhaval to be my editor. He graciously took me on and again helped tremendously in making my work and activities sections shine. Given the limited amount of characters for the activities section, Dhaval knew exactly what information should be removed and what information needs to be highlighted in each description. His knowledge about what admission committees are looking for was invaluable during the writing process. I would highly recommend anyone who can afford a professional editor to invest in Med School Insider.

I had an excellent experience working with Med School Insiders. They are truly there to help you succeed and craft great essays. I worked with Eric, a wonderful resident who immensely helped me with my essays, queries, and overall process.

Med School Insiders is an excellent resource for med students who need a gameplan for standardized test taking. The tutors are kind, patient , and knowledgable. As a significant downside: Unless you're going to pay for the middle tier or higher, your benefit(mileage) from MSI's tutoring program may vary. The lower teir only allots 10 hours of tutoring, which is quite limiting when preparing for USMLE, an exam that requires 100s of hours worth of studying. As an example, when covering a subject like the female reproductive system with my tutor > it required on average at least 2.5 hours+ or 2-3 tutoring sessions to cover the high yield content. Meaning if you're lucky, you will cover 4-5 subjects (USMLE step 1/ Uworld covers at least 26 subjects in total).

The help I received from Med School Insiders was invaluable. The feedback I received on my primary application helped me get 10 interviews and 6 acceptances. Best investment I could have made in my medical school application.

I found Sam to be a very helpful tutor who was very accommodating to my schedule. I felt like I could not have been prepared better to take the MCAT. My only concern for this program is matching tutors and advisors within a similar time zone, 3 hour time zone differences can make the scheduling confusing and often at odd hours for the tutors and advisors. Perhaps scheduling software thay shows available appointment slots could help mitigate this.

As a Canadian applying to US medical schools for the first time, I was overwhelmed with how different the process was. Dhaval was an excellent advisor, going above and beyond his role to answer any questions I had about the process. During our brainstorm session for my personal statement, he helped me find my narrative and create a cohesive story to effectively communicate my purpose for pursuing medicine. For my work and experiences section, Dhaval encouraged me to reflect deeply upon my life experiences, which allowed me to communicate them in an impactful way. With the limited character count given for this section, Dhaval's feedback was instrumental in me showcasing myself in the best possible way. Overall, Dhaval helped me gain my confidence this cycle and I couldn't have asked for a better advisor!
