I’ve always had really good customer service experiences with Edvestinu. I had a few issues with my University communications around loan details, but it was always very easy to reach someone and get a clear answer.

EDvestinU has an easy to navigate user interface that makes applying for loans a breeze and refinancing simple. I did not have many questions when filling out the applications, but when I did, I was able to get a hold of EDvestinU to get my questions answered. However, the wait time was not desirable as I tried to get in contact with someone.

Hard to get a response via email. Once received it was vague. Had to figure out my questions on my own. Process took a long time.

I would have loved to give a review of 5 stars, unfortunately I can only give those stars to one of the main supervisors with whom I spoke the two times there were issues which he fixed with care and extreme professionalism. However, when it came to EDvestinU communicating with us regarding where we were in the process - unlike with College Ave that communicated with the borrower AND the co-signer regarding the entire process including what was needed to finalize the loan and disbursement, when the loan was finalized and disbursed, and the amounts that were disbursed as well as the amounts that were changed/lowered by the college - EDvestinU managed to fall short in all of it. As a result, our daughter (the borrower) had to wait an extra month to have her money disbursed and therefore had to request a one time advance from her college to pay for food and rent! If EDvestinU had notified both the borrow and the co-signer that there was a final signature required by the borrower, as College Ave had, this wouldn't have happened. Additionally, as the co-signer, I have yet to receive an emailed statement of the amount that was disbursed and by what amount her loan amount was lowered due to a college credit of more than $4,000. As you can imagine, this lack of communication resulted in an extremely delayed disbursement, which was much more than an inconvenience, and has left me needing to find time in my schedule to contact EdvestinU to confirm the college loan credit due to additional financial aid/current loan amount. This in itself is an additional inconvenience as the hold time to get help and answers is usually quite long and wouldn't be required if EDvestinU would simply communicate these updates and information via email of both the borrower and the co-signer.

I found the entire process easy and financially worthwhile. I was kept informed every step of the way (either in asking for additional needed information or tracking the approval process). I appreciated having a choice of programs and rates, and was able to find one that saved both time and money. Thank you for your help.

Kind customer service, wonderful rates, very clear process. The website is a bit confusing in regards to progress alerts and communication is lacking.

Everything can be accomplished online with minimal need to request additional information or clarification. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is that the time required to go from loan application to disbursement is significantly longer than with other servicing agencies.

Overall I've appreciated your responsiveness and ability to answer my questions. I think the biggest thing I didn't realize is how much time it would take to file for my loan, get it approved, get the cosigner to do their part, etc. I wish there were a way to take some steps out of that. But overall I've been satisfied with my level of service.

Very slow - online system does not update quickly (takes over a week) and processing takes a long time.

My only drawback was how long it took to know if we got the loan and then when it was going to be dispersed. But it was all taken care of, and my daughter is excited to be going to college!!
