I did the women empowerment program in Nepal and it was a wonderful experience. Rahmila is fun and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and showed me around. All the ladies at the project were really kind and the project is doing amazing work to make these women's lives better.

Had the best time in Sri Lanka! Thanks Tatiane for helping me out with everything. Highly recommended :)

The house and people in Arusha were amazing.

It really was an incredible experience. Being so close to wild animals, knowing a little about their habits and biology in a place so different from my country was very enriching. Participating in the proposed activities makes us understand what the routine is in a reserve. I loved everything and encourage those who want to go. AMAZINGGGG!!!

Phenomenal experience both from working in the community, to the team, culture, food and the new friendships made. I could not have asked for a better experience.

I recently took a trip to Sri Lanka with Volunteering Solutions and it was an excellent experience. The organization was very professional and provided excellent support throughout my journey. From the moment I arrived in Sri Lanka, I was greeted with warm hospitality and felt well taken care of.

The volunteer work I was able to participate in was incredibly meaningful and gave me a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the local community. I was able to learn about the culture and history of Sri Lanka, and the team at Volunteering Solutions made sure I was fully immersed in the experience.

The accommodations were top-notch, and the food was delicious. I was able to visit some of the most beautiful and historic places in Sri Lanka, including temples, national parks, and local markets. I was also able to make new friends from all over the world and build lasting relationships with the local community.

a minha experiência com a volunteering solutions teve pontos positivos e negativos. Dos negativos, destaco que eu estava em um programa com crianças em Port Elizabeth e a empresa precisou alterar meu programa para Cape Town, o que foi feito de forma compreensivel por mim, apesar de que eu estava perdendo o direito de 3 refeicoes inclusas ao dia! me reembolsaram S60 pois eu tinha pago S75 por quarto privativo, o qual nao teria mais, mas chegando lá eles ofereceram, o que foi muito bom! entretanto, percebi que o programa não oferecia a mesma coisa que eu tinha comprado para Port Elizabeth, onde eu cuidaria de crianças vulneráveis de uma favela, pois cuidei de crianças com boa condiçao social em escola privativa! em Port Elizabeth eu teria atividades ao ar livre, com dança, esporte, quando ali tive somente atividades em uma sala fechada. Também não achei legal que oferecem transfer quando chego, mas não oferecem pra ir embora! tive que ir por conta própria, de uber, o que custou um pouco caro. Acho que quando mudaram meu programa faltou deixar claro as reais diferenças entre eles. Agora destacando os pontos positivos, a equipe foi muito atenciosa o tempo todo, tanto por email antes como durante o programa local, além de que adorei cuidar das crianças e viver experiencias junto delas e das pessoas de outros países na casa! apesar desse problema de ter que alterar meu programa, eu me diverti bastante.

I loves the experience, the elephants were amazing and my Guide Arc was so lovely and helpful. The only thing I would say is whilst we were in Krabi i didn’t feel it was as organised as the first part, we didn’t have a guide which was fine but we also didn’t get told our schedule correctly (we were told a few dates for different things) which meant we needed to book the tours etc ourselves a we couldn’t reply on the information we were given. all in all it was a great experience, but i think we lacked communication on the last part.

I attended a volunteering program with the elephants for 3 weeks. It was a very nice and instructive time. The mahouts treat the elephants very well and know a lot about the individual elephants. All employees were very friendly to me and, despite the lack of language skills, welcomed me very well and let me be a part of them.

During this 3 weeks I also had to realize that tourism is the main focus in this camp, as soon as the tourists left, all the elephants were chained and have not much freedom to move, which made me very sad.

The only time I could spend time with the elephants was in the morning when I was cleaning the elephant poops and then with the day tourists. It would be more helpful if the volunteer could spend time with the mahout and the supervisor (for translate) to learn more about the elephants.
So most of the time I felt like a tourist.
In addition, I was very interested in the background of the individual elephants, for example where they were rescued or what is the goal of this camp but my supervisor
could not answer this questions.

All these impressions could not satisfy my expectations, but it was still a nice time and experience for me.

Hello, my name is Ana, I am Portuguese and I have just had one of the best experiences of my life!

I'm going to be honest and tell you, very briefly, about my experience in Ghana.
It all started with a change in my life and an immense desire to live an experience that would take me out of my comfort zone, and above all that would make me feel useful, knowing that I would be helping someone. It wasn't my first experience as a volunteer but it was the most challenging.

Everything is different. From the weather, to the food to the way the world is seen. I can say that it is a big shock of realities, but I was mentally prepared for it, which helped me to relativize everything that could be more distant from my way of living.
They were incredible days, some more emotional than others. There are certain things that touch your heart and it's impossible to be indifferent.

I couldn't talk about this experience without mentioning Frederick (the coordinator of this whole operation, as he likes to call himself), he is one of the best people I have ever met. Frederick dedicates his life to helping girls who already have their destiny mapped out: to marry young and dedicate their lives to housework and a husband. With help and persistence, Frederick has managed to set up a school so that these children and young people can have a bright and prosperous future.

This is undoubtedly an experience that I will never forget, because many of the people stayed in my heart. The truth is that it is difficult to express this experience in words, so live it!

Na Malásia, junto ao projeto Sun Bear não foi diferente. Tive uma excelente oportunidade e experiência de vida, tendo sido acolhida, orientada e integrante de uma equipe de pessoas generosas e profissionais.

Thanks for this experience.I had a great and kind hostfamily where I was living.Its amazing to get to know much more about the culture and people in Peru.The Sightseeing were amazing .It was taff to walk up but at the end I made it. The time with the kids were great, even if I didn't speak Spanish fluent.Bodylanguage can help. You will grow at this time and will take nice memories with you.

I went 2 months to Sri Lanka to the Women Empowerment Programme.
It was the most fulfilling experience I have ever had. I really recommend the programme and the place.
The house and village were amazing, you have so many things to do and you have the possibility to travel and know the country and culture.
I loved it!

This was my second time with VolSol and it didn't dissapoint. The GK1 Sblock house t is such a nice accomodation, so big and clean and full of great energy. Shankar was great all along tthe way, helping with everything and with a smile and so much work. Also the dinner cook was really nice, her food was delicious!!
Sahil and Rajiv in the introduction day were also good, passionate about India and willing to help with any trip. Sahil helped me travelling to Goa, Jodhpur and Ranthambore and I'm super grateful to him.
That said, there're some things that seemed odd. When the rest of volunteers and I arrive at the slum school (Okhla phase 2) we didn't know ANYTHING of the kids. Their background, age, english level, maths level, current situation...everything was so chaotic that it felt as we couldn't help in anything. We didn't know that some kids went to school, if we had known we would have helped them doing homework or preparing exams, we wouldn't have written them more homework. Also, we didn't know what kind of material the school had so things were more difficult that previously thought. ALL VOLUNTEERS think that for the future it will be for the best:
1-inform prior to the arrival of the volunteers of the material the school need, more throughly about each school, the background, what kind of children go there (school, no ?) and then in the introduction day talk again about that or previous volunteers experiences and tips. If we want the best for the kids we felt this was necessary, previous experiences are super helpful.
2-About Sunita, tell her more about what she has to do: present the kids (maybe tell the kids to say their names in the 1st day) and divide the work with us or prepare classes in advance. Also, they told us there was another teacher apart from Sunita, because when she was absent we would have liked to continue going to the school (i only went two weeks and some days out of the 4 weeks i was supposed to help there...) but no other teacher appeared so i don't know what happened.
3- At last and this doesn't have to do with the project, the curtfew that you say its not a curtfew. We understand that is a really different country to Europe or western in general, but we felt like in primary school. Some days we wanted to go for a drink in the weekend or maybe visit something and come later than 10 pm but we couldn't. There was a guy living with Sahil and Rajiv and he was forty years old and he couldn't go out with us because of this...I think all the volunteers at that moment, we were aware of the nightlife and everything but it felt as if we were kids again and people who were 40 or 50 felt this way, so we didn't think this was right. I understand younger people come and maybe they are not really responsible or aware but it doesn't have to be so stiff. If the house is full with a nice not so young group, things could be flexible. Our opinion :)
All the experience was really nice overall!!
